The requirements of this job was to design a steel lean-to frame with minimal steel columns and rafters to enable large glazing units. The supporting masonry wall was 600mm thick constructed of crumbly lime mortar. We designed steel plates to be set into the wall, bolted and concreted. Full calculations and fabrication drawings were produced. Final frame installation can be seen below.
